Butter, Garlic and Basil Cubes for Cooking

January 29, 2017

Helloooooo,

One day, when you're feeling productive, make these cubes. It'll save you time when you're feeling the opposite of that. These cubes will preserve your herbs, and eliminate the time needed to chop garlic and basil when cooking. This recipe is mainly by eye, so just go adding the ingredients in small quantities until you get your desired quantity. If you'd like, replace the butter with olive oil or coconut oil.

To make these cubes you will need:

  • Melted Butter
  • Chopped Basil
  • Diced garlic
  • Ice Cube Tray
Start off by mixing all your ingredients together. You may notice you need a bit more of a certain ingredient, if you do, just add it in. Once your ingredients have been mixed, pour them into your ice cube tray. Place it in the freezer and pop one out every time you need it.

Key to having Luscious and Plump Lips

January 22, 2017

Keeping your lips moisturized, soft and plump isn't always easy, especially during the winter. Here are some quick and simple tricks on how to keep your lips feeling luscious. Any of the information listed down below is what works for me but is not intended to cure, diagnose or treat any diseases.

Drink water. Staying hydrated is one of the most vital things when it comes to having moisturized lips.
Drinking water will also benefit you in other ways including clearing your skin and cleansing your body.

Use a natural lip scrub. The scrub will take off all your dead skin leaving your lips nice and smooth. To learn how to make a DIY lip scrub, click here.

Apply an all natural lip balm. Preferably one scented with peppermint or any mint essential oil due to its plumping properties. I use the La Chacha Soaps Peppermint Lip Balm. It is made of some of the most moisturizing oils which leave your lips feeling fantastic in no time.  Do this over the course of the day to ensure your lips stay soft.

Thanks for reading. I'd love to hear if this worked out for you or if you have any tips of your own on how to keep your lips nice and soft.

DIY Peppermint Lip Scrub

January 07, 2017

This quick and easy lip scrub will leave your lips feeling moisturized, fresh and plumper..

You will need:

  •  approx. 2 tbsp of Sugar
  • approx. 2 tbsp of Coconut Oil
  • 10-15 drops of Peppermint Essential Oil
  • Table Spoon
  • Glass or Metal container to store scrub
  • Small Stainless Steel Bowl
  • Drop of Vitamin E (optional)
  • Large Bowl

Step 1. Melt the coconut oil using the double boiler method. Make sure you don't burn the nutrients out of it.

Step 2. Take the bowl and put it into a larger bowl that is filled with cold water. Once the edges have hardened, remove the bowl and begin to stir the oil until it has a whipped consistency.

Step 3. Now add your sugar, peppermint essential oil,  vitamin E (optional) and  mix it in very well.

Step 4.  Put your scrub into a container and let it set in the fridge for 30 minutes or so. After that, your lip scrub is ready to use.

To Apply:

Scoop a bit of the scrub on to your finger and apply it on to your lips in circling motions, pressing gently so that the dead skin comes off.  Remove the excess with a wet towel.

Ginger and Lemon Tea Recipe

January 05, 2017

To all my tea lovers,

This Lemon and Ginger tea is a delicious warm drink. Ginger and Lemon both have wonderful properties and are known to be great for detoxing your body.

To make this tea you will need:

  • Boiling water
  • a Lemon
  • Ginger
  • Honey (optional)
  •  Mug
  • Citrus Juicer
  • Spoon

Step 1.  Cut a lemon in half. Juice 1-2 halves (all personal preference) of the lemon with your citrus juicer and pour it into your mug. If you don't have a citrus juicer, you can squeeze as much lemon juice as possible directly into your mug with your hands.

Step 2.  Slice a few pieces of ginger. The more you put in your tea, the stronger the taste of ginger. I personally like to cut a few thick slices of ginger and dice them. Now put the ginger in your mug.

Step 3. Now that everything is in your mug, pour the boiling water and let your tea steep for a few minutes. Stir in some honey to add a bit of sweetness or leave it as it is.

If you try it, let me know how it turned out down below in the comments!

Isa
